chicken chawarma recipe

Ingredients for 2 people:

2 pita breads,

2 chicken breasts, cut into pieces,

One stirred yogurt,

1 onion,

1 tomato,

A few salad leaves,

A few sprigs of parsley,

The juice of 1/2 lemon,

A drizzle of olive oil,

Tahina spices: crushed mixture of sweet pepper, cinnamon, cloves, coriander and cardamon seeds,

Salt and pepper,


Start by cutting the 2 chicken breasts into pieces and placing them in a large bowl.

Add the lemon juice and spices on top of the chicken and mix well.

Cover with cling film and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to marinate.

Wash the lettuce, parsley and tomato, then peel the onion.

Chop the parsley, finely chop the onion, salad and tomato.

Put the yogurt, a teaspoon of Tahina, salt and pepper in a small bowl and mix.

Heat a little olive oil in a frying pan and cook the marinated chicken.

Spread the yogurt mixture in each open bun, add a little of the tomato, lettuce and onion mixture and add pieces of chicken.

Roll up the buns and serve.
