christmas fruit cake


Flour 250 g
Sugar 150 g
Candied fruit  200 g
Sultanas  100 g (golden raisins)

Butter  150 g
Eggs  4
3 tablespoons  Baking powder  : 1 bag

Preparation of the recipe: candied fruit cake
Soak the candied fruit and sultanas in the 3 tablespoons of rum for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Preheat your oven to 180°C.
In a bowl, mix the eggs and sugar until the mixture turns white. Then add the melted butter, flour and baking powder and mix well.
Add the macerated fruit, mix again and pour the batter into a large buttered cake tin.
Bake the candied fruit cake for 45 minutes, watching it cook, and leave to cool before eating.
