1 cup (250 ml) cold butter, diced
⅔ cup (170 ml) sugar
½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) almond extract
2¼ cup (565 ml) flour
2½ tablespoons (37.5 ml) coloured sprinkles (red, green, white)
Mix the butter, sugar, almond extract and flour until the dough becomes crumbly.
Add the candy flakes and mix again (the mixture will remain crumbly).
Place the mixture in a parchment-lined baking sheet and press into an even layer.
Cool the mixture for 30 minutes, then remove from the tray by gently lifting the parchment paper.
Cut dough into small square pieces.
Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 12-15 minutes.
