Easy Lentil Chili Recipe

Ingredients: (for 4 people)

400g ground beef
400g of cooked lentils
1 red onion
3 peppers (here mixed colors)
about 15 cherry tomatoes
400g of tomato puree
1 teaspoon of oregano
1 teaspoon of chili spices
1 tbsp of olive oil
salt and pepper
2 avocados (optional)

Preparation:

Peel and finely chop the red onion. Cut the peppers into small cubes, taking care to remove the seeds. Cut cherry tomatoes in half.
In a large frying pan, heat a little olive oil and fry the onion for a few minutes. Add the peppers and continue cooking for 5 minutes.
Add the ground beef, as soon as it starts to color add the cherry tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, chili, salt and pepper to taste.
Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
Add lentils ,you continue cooking for 5 minutes
Serve with half an avocado if desired.
